Overview

Integrating a new device into your project on the Sensora IoT platform is an important step. This process registers the device with Sensora and prepares it to interact with the Sensora cloud. Follow the steps below to successfully add a new device to your project.

Add New device

The following information is required in order to add a new device to Sensora Cloud.

• Name: Will be used to identify the device in your project.
• Template: Select a device template from the provided dropdown list. The device template contains a set of configurations that define how your device will function within the Sensora platform.
• Description: Add a short description for your device. This will help you remember the purpose or specific details about the device when you manage multiple devices in your project.

Device credentials

After providing all the necessary details, you will be presented with a Device ID and a Device Token.

• Device ID is a unique identifier for your device in the Sensora Cloud.
• Device Token is a secret key that authenticates your device with the Sensora Cloud.

You can choose from 2 options for storing credentials. You can either copy device credentials in the clipboard or download as CSV format.

Be careful!

Please note, the Device Token will only be shown once for security reasons. Ensure you copy and securely store the Device Token as you will need it to configure the device later. If the Device Token is lost, you will not be able to retrieve it and you may need to create a new device.
